Wedding - Victoria & William - July 2010

WeddingsPosted by Susie Sep 02, 2010 19:31:51
Victoria and William got married in the end of July in rural Essex and I was honoured to be there assisting and second shooting for Marianne from Marianne Taylor Photography. We spent the entire day at Hill Hall where both the wedding ceremony and reception took place. This was such a beautiful place and being Will's childhood home was a really special setting for the day.

Victoria just glowed and the next set of photographs are my absolute favourites from the day. She was simply stunning, and so excited and happy through the whole day. I don't think I took one photo of her on the day where she wasn't smiling!
The guests enjoyed cocktails in the garden with Victoria and Will at the start of the wedding which I though was a great idea. They had a chance to mingle, relax, enjoy the gardens and settle in to the mood of the day with ease.
Victoria then retired with her bridesmaids prior to the ceremony and spending these precious moments prior to the bride walking down the aisle makes me so happy for them. Victoria was no exception. :)
Then it was time for everyone to join the newly-weds for champagne, canapés and celebration in garden prior to everyone sitting down for the wedding breakfast. The garden and grounds were so beautiful and the weather was perfect throughout the day. It really was a beautiful wedding day in so many ways.

What a gorgeous and special wedding this was to be part of. Thank you so much Victoria and William and thank you Marianne for letting me be part of a such special day with you, too! :)

Please visit Marianne's blog to view the full story of this beautiful wedding. I know I always say this, but really - you do not want to miss Marianne's photos from the day, not a single one of them!

Wedding - Sophie & Henry - July 2010

WeddingsPosted by Susie Aug 20, 2010 13:24:17
In July I had the pleasure to second shoot and assist Marianne from Marianne Taylor Photography at Sophie and Henry's fab wedding in the Midlands. We started our day with Sophie getting ready at her parents' home. That is Sophie's mother's wedding dress in the corner, isn't it gorgeous?!
The family dog Archie wasn't that impressed about all the fuss focusing on Sophie instead of him, but he'd had to cope with it. :) Before setting off to the church some traditions were attended to like Sophie getting to wear something blue in the form of this little bow her mum made for her.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful St Mary the Virgin church and Sophie arrived in a classic white Rolls Royce. I have a little soft spot for stunning churches like this. They are such a joy to photograph.
Sophie looked so elegant in her Pronovias dress and the beautiful peonies in her hair and her bouquet, don't you agree?
The church is so beautiful inside and out. What a lovely ceremony this was to photograph. From the church we all made our way to the Punchbowl pub in Lapworth and what a great venue it was, too!
The guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles before sitting down for the wedding breakfast in the marquee. If you ever are in the neighbourhood make sure you pop in to this great pub. The staff are so friendly and the food is great! What a cool place it was to have a such a great wedding!Sophie and Henry radiated happiness and love on the day and it was such a joy to photograph their special day for them. Huge thank you to the happy couple for allowing me be a part of the day and to Marianne as well.

If you haven't already, please visit Marianne's blog for the full story of this gorgeous wedding. Be sure you don't miss the stunning portraits Marianne took in a wheat field with Sophie and Henry as well, they are so so gorgeous!

Wedding - Rebecca & Andi - June 2010

WeddingsPosted by Susie Jul 30, 2010 12:38:32

In June we spent an incredible week in Cornwall, South West of England and were very lucky to shoot Rebecca and Andi's amazing clifftop wedding near Newquay during our visit. I was travelling, assisting and second shooting for Marianne from Marianne Taylor Photography at this wedding. We also had the pleasure of having Maz from Light and Day Photography help us out on the day and we honestly couldn't have done without her at this wedding.

As you might have already guessed I was sticking to the theme of the weddings this summer and started my day in the pub with Andi and the guests. :) The Falcon was literally across the street from the Chapel of the Franciscan Monastery of Lanherne though so we didn't have far to go thankfully.

Rebecca and her bridesmaids arrived in classic VW Camper vans in true Cornwall style and didn't keep Andi waiting too long. Rebecca looked so beautiful in her Temperley dress and Royst and Aran headpiece, not to mention the sweet colour scheme of the baby blue and red of the bridesmaids dresses.

From the chapel the guests were transported in style with vintage 1950's coaches provided by King Harry Coaches to Bre Pen Farm where the reception and wedding breakfast was set up by the cliff top overlooking stunning coastal views. The catering was done by Round Kitchen and Becks and Andi had chosen to use as much local produce as possible from their bubbly to the strawberry plants they gave to their guests as thank you gifts.

This was such a superb wedding to be able to be part of and I am still constantly pinching myself for the amazing opportunities I have as an assistant photographer to be able to photograph weddings like this. Thank you so much Becks and Andi for having us and thank you Marianne for giving me an opportunity to travel with you and see this amazing part of the country for the first time.

Please visit Marianne's blog to see the full story of Rebecca and Andi's stunning wedding - you do not want to miss the delicately beautiful portraits Marianne shot of Becks getting ready as well as the portraits of the newlyeds on the beach!
